#LoveWins but what now?

guardian:

Gay marriage declared legal across the US in historic supreme court rulingRead about the ruling in The GuardianMarried Same-Sex Couples: Share your photos from your wedding day!
Congratulations to members of the LGBTQ community on this amazing triumph as gay marriage, or marriage equality, is now completely legal in all 50 states of America. It's a nice day and a nice moment among all the bad, and congratulations to everyone who will now be getting married. I hope you live long and happy lives together.

But, I wanted to make this post as a warning, to bring awareness to members of the LGBTQ community to be safe and aware during this time as there will probably be backlash from conservatives and bigots and there will likely be an increase in violence:

"This is a gentle reminder that while the Supreme Court Decision to legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states is a wonderful thing, the backlash will likely lead to an increase in violence against LGBTQ people in states where same-sex marriage was previously banned. Note that these states also have some of the loosest gun regulations in the country. If you are LGBTQ and living in one of these states, please be very careful and stay safe. Be in contact with your friends often so they know you’re alright."

This is a momentous occasion and one that should be celebrated, but  everyone should stay aware of what might come from it in terms of people who are against this and how they will react.
But this, though just a start, is a great start and I hope more good than bad comes from it. (Now we just need to focus on every other problem the lgbtqai+ community faces like conversion therapy, camps, homeless teens, the fact some schools can ban that gay straight ally club, medication for trans people, etc.)

While the above is fantastic, there's still people who have the license to discriminate: Infographic: Legally Married and Legally Fired
Please remain safe and aware and enjoy this time.

As for things like:
I can't wait to see what happens with them.
